What Maz Vantage’s ratings, scores and picks are, how they are made, their limits, and the interests of the people behind them.

1. Information, not investment advice

Maz Vantage provides general financial information for research and education. It is not investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and it is not a personal recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security.

The same ratings and pages are shown to every visitor. They do not take into account your objectives, financial situation, knowledge, experience or tolerance for risk, and nothing on the site has been checked for suitability for you.

Maz Vantage and its operator are not an investment firm, a financial investment adviser (“CIF”) registered with ORIAS, or otherwise authorised by the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) or any other regulator. We do not manage money, take orders or receive funds. Before investing, you may want to consult a licensed adviser.

2. What the ratings and labels mean

The Maz Rating scores a company from 1 to 5 against the other companies of its sector, on five factors: valuation, growth, profitability, financial health and momentum. The labels attached to it (Strong Buy, Buy, Hold, Sell) and the letter grades are a shorthand for that relative rank in its sector. They describe the company’s figures today; they are not a price target, a forecast or an instruction to trade. The same applies to the Alpha Signal, technical signals and Maz Picks.

Analyst consensus, price targets and estimates shown on the site come from third-party analysts through Financial Modeling Prep; they are theirs, not ours. Fair values are model estimates that depend on assumptions which may prove wrong.

The method is described on the About page and in the FAQ. Every sector is rated again each month from the latest financial data, so a rating can change from one month to the next without notice.

3. How content is produced

  • Ratings, scores, screens and picks are calculated automatically by Maz Vantage’s models from data supplied by Financial Modeling Prep. No one adjusts an individual rating by hand.
  • Written summaries on company pages are generated automatically from the same data, by templates or by AI language models. They are not reviewed one by one and may contain errors.
  • Articles may be drafted with the help of AI tools. Every article is reviewed and published by the operator, who takes editorial responsibility for it.
  • Shariah screening applies published screening methodologies to financial data. It is informational, is not a religious ruling (fatwa) and has not been certified by a Shariah board.

4. Conflicts of interest

The operator of Maz Vantage invests personally and may hold, buy or sell securities of companies covered by the site, including companies that are rated, picked or written about. Ratings are produced by the same models for every company, whether or not it is held.

Maz Vantage receives no payment or benefit from the companies it covers, from brokers or from fund managers, has no investment banking or advisory relationship with them, and carries no advertising or affiliate links. If that changed, this section would say so before it applied.

5. Risks

  • Investing in shares involves risk, including the loss of all the capital invested.
  • Past performance, back-tests and the historical record of ratings or picks do not predict future results.
  • Shares in foreign currencies also expose you to exchange-rate movements.
  • Small companies can be volatile and hard to sell quickly.
  • Data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and models can fail, especially around results, corporate events and market turmoil. Check figures against company filings before acting on them.

6. Your responsibility

You alone decide what to do with the information on Maz Vantage, and you bear the consequences. To the extent permitted by law, the individual operator of Maz Vantage is not liable for any loss arising from its use; see the terms of service. Errors can be reported to privacy@mazvantage.com.
