Cookie Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Maz Vantage stores only what it needs to work. Statistics and content from other sites are off unless you turn them on.
1. What this covers
“Cookies” here means any information a website stores on, or reads from, your device: cookies proper, but also local storage and similar technologies. The rules are the same for all of them (ePrivacy Directive, art. 82 of the French Data Protection Act).
2. Strictly necessary — always on
These make the site work as you asked and are exempt from consent. They stay on your device and are not used to track you.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
token | Local storage | Keeps you logged in; renewed while you use the site | Until you log out, or after 7 days without a visit |
mazvantage.consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choices | 6 months |
mazvantage.theme | Local storage | Light or dark theme | Until you clear it |
mazvantage.screens.saved, mazvantage.market.country, mazvantage.benchmarks | Local storage | Screens you save and screener settings you choose | Until you clear them |
mazvantage.lastSymbol | Session storage | The last company you opened, for navigation | Until you close the tab |
mazvantage.comparisons | Local storage | Comparisons you save on the Compare page | Until you delete them |
mazvantage.rail.closed, mazvantage.rail.collapsed | Local storage | Whether the Markets panel and its sections are open or folded | Until you clear them |
sidebar_state | Cookie (first party) | Remembers whether the side menu is collapsed, if you toggle it | 7 days |
3. Optional — only with your consent
| Category | Provider | What it does | On your device |
|---|---|---|---|
| Audience statistics | Vercel Web Analytics | Counts page views anonymously. No cross-site tracking, no advertising. | Nothing stored — no cookie |
| External media | YouTube, TradingView, Google, Datawrapper and other chart or video services embedded in articles | Shows the video or chart. YouTube is loaded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). | Set by those services, under their own policies |
Neither is loaded before you choose. Refusing has no effect on the rest of the site; an article simply shows a “Load this content” button where an external video or chart would be.
4. Images and libraries from other sites
To display company logos, country flags and some charts, your browser loads files from Financial Modeling Prep, Google Charts (Google LLC), Flagpedia (flagcdn.com). These requests store nothing on your device for Maz Vantage and are not used by us to track you, but those services see your IP address, as any site you load a file from would. They are listed in the privacy policy.
5. What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no social-network trackers, no tracking pixels and no fingerprinting.
6. Changing your choices
You can change your mind at any time — as easily as you gave your choice — from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, or here:
Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which we ask again. You can also delete stored data from your browser settings. More on personal data in the privacy policy; questions to privacy@mazvantage.com.
